About Lauren

Lauren Rogers is a writer and public relations professional based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After graduating magna cum laude from The University of Tulsa in December 2018, Lauren began working for Gilcrease Museum. She assumed leadership of their Marketing & Communications department in time for the COVID-19 pandemic. While at Gilcrease, Lauren garnered national attention through efforts including her #ArtistsinQuarantine social media campaign and having a piece from the collection featured in President Biden’s inauguration program.

Lauren transitioned to Tulsa Regional Tourism, a division of the Tulsa Regional Chamber, in 2021. As Director of Communications, she spearheaded their earned media strategy and utilized key partnerships on a global scale to grow Tulsa's reputation as a world-class destination. During her tenure, Tulsa earned accolades like CNN’s “Where to Travel in 2022”, USA Today’s 2023 “Best Food Hall in the US”, and more. Lauren also reestablished the award-winning Tulsa Visitors Guide; producing the first eight quarterly editions.

A 2023 Oklahoma NextGen Under 30 winner, Lauren keeps busy supporting the Tulsa community. She is on the board for the Public Relations Society of America - Tulsa Chapter, and a founding member of the 509(a)(2), the Tvlse Council Oak Tree Foundation. Lauren is also a member of the TYPROS, the Tulsa Press Club, and Tulsa Area United Way NextGen United. Additionally, Lauren helps run a low-key book club that meets monthly.
